Koek Kee dim sum restaurant was founded since 1915. It has been a regular visiting place for the local SP residents’ family since a very long long time ago as far as we could remember. Siew Mai dumplings and the Large steamed bun are one of the many famous dishes that anyone must try. At Koek Kee, we do not only fill our stomach with delicious food, but getting together with parents and family members are precious and also a display of our filial affection.
Mr. Chin the current boss said his grandfather built the six shop houses (Koek Kee is the 6th) for renown Mr. Lim Lean Teng and completed in year 1915 when his father was born. Therefore his grandfather moved from Teluk Anson, Perak to Sungai Petani and started the Koek Kee Dimsum business.
Frozen vacuum sealed Siu Mai Dim Sum from Koek Kee restaurant is also available through FB: Siu Mai Lab. After thawing the Siu Mai customers just need to steam them for 15 minutes.
